GURUGRAM: ₹90 LAKH EXTORTION ALLEGATION — A MAN’S FEAR OF FALSE-CASE THREATS

A 24-year-old woman, Suryadita Das, was arrested in Gurugram after a man alleged she had extorted around ₹90 lakh over nearly three years by threatening to implicate him in a false rape case and harm his family. Police said she was caught while allegedly accepting another ₹50,000, and approximately ₹95 lakh in a bank account was frozen. The allegations remain subject to legal proceedings.
