Men Cell: How UP STF Tracked Down Shraddha Dubey — From the Nepal Border Trail to Her Arrest in Nagpur

11 DAYS ON THE RUN — HOW THE SEARCH FOR SHRADDHA DUBEY ENDED IN NAGPUR

The arrest of Shraddha Dubey, wanted in connection with Lucknow café owner Shiva Sharma’s death, followed an interstate search involving UP STF, Lucknow Police and Nagpur Crime Branch.

STEP BY STEP:

1. The case begins: Shiva died after falling from an apartment building in Lucknow on 9 October. His mother alleged foul play, and police registered a murder case.

2. The search widens: Investigators pursued leads across Uttar Pradesh and towards the Nepal border. A Scorpio registered in Shraddha’s name was reportedly found abandoned near Rupaidiha.

3. Locations keep changing: Media reports traced the investigation through places including Lakhimpur Kheri, Sitapur and Agra. Reports also described Shraddha allegedly using a disguise while travelling.

4. Police follow transport clues: Investigators examined CCTV footage and questioned people who may have transported the accused. Reports say the group travelled to Nagpur in a rented vehicle before changing to an e-rickshaw.

5. The Nagpur trail: According to The Times of India, police examined footage from around 200 CCTV cameras and traced the e-rickshaw route towards an apartment in Chinchbhuvan.

6. The arrest: A joint police team kept the flat under surveillance and detained Shraddha, her sister Rashmi Dubey and driver Tanveer Ali, also known as Danish, on 20 October. Further investigation and legal proceedings will determine the facts of the case.

Shraddha has denied involvement and claimed Shiva died by suicide. Arrest is not proof of guilt; the allegations must be established in court.
