Subject: Seeking information under RTI Act, 2005 regarding Complaint No. 221/2025 dated 07.05.2025 filed by Mrs. Shruti Sharma against me and my family, and subsequent threats by her brother Mr. Rajat Sharma.

Respected Sir/Madam,

I, Mr. Kunal Mehra, son of Mr. Suresh Mehra, resident of H-15, Vasant Kunj, New Delhi – 110070, hereby submit this RTI application seeking certified information in relation to a false dowry harassment complaint made by my wife, Mrs. Shruti Sharma, against me and my family members, being handled at CAW Cell Nanakpura.

The said complaint (Complaint No. 221/2025 dated 07.05.2025) not only contains false and exaggerated allegations under IPC 498A/406, but her family members, especially her brother Mr. Rajat Sharma, have been continuously threatening me and my elderly parents with dire consequences unless we agree to pay an illegal “settlement amount” of ₹25 lakhs. Despite bringing this to the notice of the IO and the SHO Nanakpura, no protection or fair investigation has been done till date.

In the interest of transparency, kindly provide certified information under the RTI Act, 2005 on the following exhaustive points:

1. Certified copy of Complaint No. 221/2025 dated 07.05.2025 filed by Mrs. Shruti Sharma with CAW Cell Nanakpura, along with enclosures, affidavits, and list of witnesses submitted.
2. Certified copy of GD entries at CAW Cell Nanakpura relating to registration of the said complaint.
3. Certified copies of all notices issued to me (Mr. Kunal Mehra), my father (Mr. Suresh Mehra), my mother (Mrs. Sunita Mehra), and my married sister (Mrs. Nidhi Khanna, resident of Gurgaon) summoning us to appear before CAW Cell Nanakpura.
4. Certified copy of inquiry notes and observations made by the IO (W/SI Anjali Verma) during preliminary counseling sessions dated 12.05.2025 and 18.05.2025.
5. Certified copy of mediation proceedings held at CAW Cell Nanakpura on 20.05.2025 and 25.05.2025, including remarks of the mediators, whether signed or unsigned.
6. Certified copy of communication sent by IO to SHO Vasant Kunj regarding verification of stridhan/dowry articles as claimed by complainant.
7. Details of steps taken by CAW Cell Nanakpura to verify whether the allegations of dowry demand and cruelty were supported by independent evidence or only oral statements.
8. Certified copy of my written defense and submissions dated 15.05.2025 (acknowledgement copy of CAW Cell).
9. Certified copies of complaints made by me on 14.05.2025 and 19.05.2025 regarding threats by Mr. Rajat Sharma, brother of complainant, along with GD entries at Nanakpura Police Station.
10. Certified copy of CCTV footage preservation request made by me to CAW Cell Nanakpura showing my presence in counseling sessions and behavior of opposite party’s relatives.
11. Certified copy of any report prepared by CAW Cell Nanakpura recommending FIR registration under IPC 498A/406.
12. Certified copy of communication sent to DCP South West regarding this complaint.
13. Number of complaints filed at CAW Cell Nanakpura between Jan 2024 – June 2025 alleging dowry harassment where FIRs were registered, and number of cases closed as “false” or “no sufficient evidence.”
14. Certified copy of latest departmental circulars regarding mandatory inquiry before recommending registration of FIR under IPC 498A in matrimonial disputes.
15. Certified copy of complaint verification report of dowry articles, if any, submitted by complainant.
16. Certified copy of all notings made on file in relation to Complaint No. 221/2025 till date of this RTI.
17. Certified copy of directions, if any, issued to IO by SHO Nanakpura or ACP South West regarding threats to me and my family by complainant’s brother.
18. Certified copy of protection measures suggested or undertaken for me and my family in response to my written complaints of intimidation.
19. Total number of complaints in which IO W/SI Anjali Verma of CAW Cell Nanakpura has been the Inquiry Officer between Jan 2024 – May 2025, and number of complaints where her recommendations resulted in FIR registration.
