A 34-year-old woman, identified as C.R. Sruthi, was arrested in Kochi on October 17 in connection with an alleged overseas recruitment fraud worth over ₹1.30 crore. According to media reports, she and a co-accused allegedly collected money from around 430 job aspirants without the recruitment company’s authorisation.

Police reportedly traced Sruthi to an apartment in Kakkanad after she had allegedly remained untraceable for nearly two months. Her anticipatory bail plea was reportedly rejected by the Bombay High Court, and she was handed over to Mumbai Police on a transit warrant.
