DELHI CRIME: Government Hospital Nurse Among 6 Arrested in Alleged Extortion Conspiracy

Delhi Police have arrested six people in connection with a firing incident outside a textile trader’s home in New Usmanpur, followed by an alleged extortion demand.

According to a report published on October 18, police identified a government-hospital male nurse, Ekant Bhati alias “Masterji”, as the alleged mastermind. A law student and other suspects were also arrested. Investigators say two masked men fired at the trader’s gate after leaving a threatening note, and the victim subsequently received an extortion demand from an international number. Two alleged shooters remain at large.
