Subject: Information under RTI Act, 2005 regarding Complaint No. 118/2025 dated 09.03.2025 about cruelty, dowry harassment and non-recovery of stridhan

Respected Sir/Madam,

I, Mrs. Meenakshi Sharma, resident of House No. 42, Gali No. 5, Geeta Colony, East Delhi – 110031, had filed a complaint before CAW Cell, Krishna Nagar on 9th March 2025 against my husband Mr. Anuj Sharma and his family members for repeated acts of cruelty, dowry demands, and unlawful retention of my stridhan articles including jewellery worth ₹8,50,000 and household items gifted by my parents.

Despite attending three scheduled hearings (11th March, 18th March, and 25th March 2025), IO W/SI Neha Yadav failed to take effective steps for recovery of stridhan or recommend FIR registration under Section 498A/406 IPC. Instead, she kept pressurizing me for “settlement” and deliberately ignored my written evidence, including photographs of jewellery and bank transfer records for dowry expenses.

Kindly provide certified information under the RTI Act, 2005 on the following points:

1. Certified copy of Complaint No. 118/2025 dated 09.03.2025 along with supporting documents submitted by me.
2. Certified copies of hearing notices issued to respondents (Mr. Anuj Sharma & family) and proof of their attendance/non-attendance.
3. Certified copy of IO W/SI Neha Yadav’s inquiry notes, hearing proceedings, and recommendations till date.
4. Certified copy of the list of stridhan articles acknowledged by CAW Cell in this case file.
5. Certified copy of reasons recorded for non-registration of FIR despite multiple hearings and clear evidence of dowry harassment and stridhan misappropriation.
6. Total number of matrimonial complaints received at CAW Cell Krishna Nagar in 2024 and 2025 (till March 2025), and how many converted into FIRs under Section 498A/406 IPC.
7. Certified copy of supervisory remarks of ACP, CAW Cell East District, on Complaint No. 118/2025.
