Subject: Information under RTI Act, 2005 regarding Complaint No. 025/2025 dated 14.01.2025 on harassment, dowry demands, and physical abuse

Respected Sir/Madam,

I, Mrs. Priya Malhotra, resident of Flat No. 32, Sector-C, Pocket 9, Vasant Kunj, New Delhi – 110070, filed Complaint No. 025/2025 on 14th January 2025 at CAW Cell, Vasant Kunj against my husband Mr. Sandeep Malhotra and his family members for persistent dowry demands, mental harassment, and repeated instances of physical abuse.

Despite providing medical reports from Safdarjung Hospital dated 10th January 2025, photographs of injuries, and testimonies from neighbors, IO SI Meenakshi Rana failed to register an FIR. Instead, I was repeatedly pressured into reconciliation without any accountability for the violence I suffered.

Hearings held on 16th Jan, 23rd Jan, and 30th Jan 2025 yielded no results, and no meaningful steps were taken to secure justice or my safety.

Kindly provide certified information under the RTI Act, 2005 on the following points:

1. Certified copy of Complaint No. 025/2025 dated 14.01.2025 along with annexures submitted by me.
2. Certified copy of hearing notices issued to respondents (Mr. Sandeep Malhotra & family) and acknowledgment of receipt.
3. Certified copy of inquiry reports, diary entries, and recommendations prepared by IO SI Meenakshi Rana.
4. Certified copy of medical reports, photographs, and witness statements submitted as evidence.
5. Certified copy of reasons recorded for non-registration of FIR under Sections 498A/406/323 IPC despite strong evidence.
6. Total number of matrimonial complaints received at CAW Cell Vasant Kunj in 2024 and 2025 (till January 2025), and number of FIRs registered.
7. Certified copy of supervisory remarks of ACP, CAW Cell South District, on Complaint No. 025/2025.
