Subject: Information under RTI Act, 2005 regarding Complaint No. 209/2025 dated 12.05.2025 about cruelty, dowry harassment, and suspected bigamy by husband

Respected Sir/Madam,

I, Mrs. Ritu Wadhwa, resident of Flat No. 37, Basant Enclave, Vasant Vihar, New Delhi – 110057, had filed Complaint No. 209/2025 on 12th May 2025 before CAW Cell, Vasant Vihar against my husband Mr. Abhinav Wadhwa and his family members for continuous harassment, dowry demands, and physical cruelty. During the proceedings, I also submitted proof of his second marriage solemnized secretly in March 2025 at Gurgaon, while still legally married to me.

Despite placing certified photographs, hotel bills, and WhatsApp chats as evidence of bigamy and cruelty, the IO SI Kavita Joshi pressurized me to withdraw my complaint and “compromise” with the respondents. No attempt was made to recover my stridhan jewellery worth ₹5,20,000 or to recommend FIR under IPC Sections 498A/406/494.

Kindly provide certified information under the RTI Act, 2005 on the following points:

1. Certified copy of Complaint No. 209/2025 dated 12.05.2025 along with all annexures submitted by me.
2. Certified copies of hearing notices issued to respondents and their acknowledgment/attendance records.
3. Certified copy of IO SI Kavita Joshi’s inquiry notes, reports, and recommendations on this case.
4. Certified copy of the list of stridhan articles deposited/acknowledged in the CAW Cell file.
5. Certified copy of reasons recorded for non-registration of FIR under IPC Sections 498A/406/494 despite availability of strong evidence.
6. Total number of matrimonial complaints received at CAW Cell Vasant Vihar in 2024 and 2025 (till May 2025), and how many converted into FIRs under 498A/406/494 IPC.
7. Certified copy of supervisory remarks of ACP, CAW Cell South District, on Complaint No. 209/2025.
