Subject: Information under RTI Act, 2005 regarding Complaint No. 121/2025 dated 02.03.2025 on misuse and illegal sale of bride’s stridhan.

Respected Sir/Madam,

I, Mrs. Nidhi Arora, wife of Mr. Sandeep Arora, resident of House No. C-78, Sector A, Vasant Kunj, New Delhi – 110070, lodged Complaint No. 121/2025 dated 2nd March 2025 at CAW Cell, Vasant Vihar against my husband and his family for harassment, cruelty, and illegal disposal of my stridhan (gold ornaments, jewellery sets, silver utensils, and cash received during marriage).

Despite repeated visits, no FIR has been registered till date. I have specifically submitted proof of purchase bills from Tanishq, South Extension and photographs of the jewellery, but my in-laws — Mr. Rajeev Arora (father-in-law) and Mrs. Kamlesh Arora (mother-in-law) — have openly admitted to selling off the jewellery in Karol Bagh market.

Kindly provide certified information under the RTI Act, 2005 on the following points:

1. Certified copy of Complaint No. 121/2025 dated 02.03.2025 along with annexures submitted by me.
2. Certified copy of GD (General Diary) entries made at CAW Cell Vasant Vihar on 02.03.2025 and subsequent dates regarding my complaint.
3. Certified copy of notices issued to my husband Mr. Sandeep Arora and his parents regarding inquiry sessions at CAW Cell.
4. Certified copy of the IO’s report and file notings recommending registration or non-registration of FIR in my case.
5. Certified copy of any internal communication between CAW Cell Vasant Vihar and ACP South-West regarding this complaint.
6. Details of total number of matrimonial complaints received in CAW Cell Vasant Vihar from January 2024 to March 2025 and FIRs registered in stridhan-related cases.
7. Certified copy of guidelines followed by IOs in stridhan disputes as per Delhi Police Standing Orders.
